I've just spent a LONG time installing some software. When I came back to my PC I've got a Installation window in the middle of my desktop - but it's minimized so small I can't get at it. If I right click I get "close or move". I can't open the thing back up. suggestions?

Well, it's been there for an hour. Nothing is running in task manager. If I try to log off I can't

Maybe the installation process is not done yet and that is the specific way that software installation progress is. Otherwise check Task Manager to see whether it is still running. If it is, wait for it to finish properly.

Try minimize all your windows once and maximize them all by pressing the key combination "Windows + D" twice. This may bring that window back. Or you can try for "Move" from the system menu. Use your arrow keys to bring back that window to your desktop.

If the task manager lists that window, right click on it and click "Maximize" or "Restore" or "Switch To"

Finally, if you want to terminate that application, find out the application name (.exe) and locate it in the Processes tab in Task Manager. Terminate it by clicking "End Process"

Maybe try changing your screen resolution to as low as possible? 800x600. This is in your display properties in the control panel on the settings tab.
