I tried putting Windows xp in again but no go. the file name that it says is missing or corrupt is: \windows\system32\config\system I even tryed safe mode and still nothing, just keeps rebooting. or do I need to take it in to be repaired.

i didnt have any trouble yesterday doing what i amtrying to do today. i open a blank publication and then i pick the design i want on there which is called (blockade) then i am just trying to paste something from a different site, but when i clik paste, it will tell me that the table is too small blah blah blah, i dont want the table at all. i dont know where this table has come from.

I don't own the computer I'm asking about, but I do remember trying to add a virus scanner and couldn't. It was as if a smart virus was preventing it. I would click Install and I was asked if I wanted to continue and NO would be clicked automatically. When I tried to use Search, open Recycle bin, or open My Computer the window would appear with a folder pic in the middle then NOTHING. In Startup I believe unchecking items didn't help. Oh yes, there was never anything wrong with it until after the owner got DSL through Suddenlink. When Windows became unstable, I clicked Start>Turn off computer, it would take forever for the box to popup. "Turn off" was never there. I'm not trying to fix it anymore, but I would like to know what caused all the trouble for future reference.

I don't know what I hit, but whenever I maximize Winamp, it's always on top of the broswer, I can't put it in the background. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

When I hit the arrow buttons while I'm in Excel, Excel shifts the view of the screen rather than going over to a different cell and making it the active cell like I would want it to do. How do I resolve this?

(note: you can do a clean install with a vista upgrade CD, I know how to, just google it. But he doesn not trust me)

In Word when you click the scroll bar and drag it to scroll to different pages it brings up a little yellow box that tells you what page you are currently on (Page: 1). I once saw a document where the author had it to where when you clicked on it it said what he wanted it to. For example pages one and two were the introduction so the little box said (Page:2 Introduction). Then three through six were labeled as something different. How do you set this up?

My computer has windows xp media center on it. I got the free upgrade thingy from dell. So now i have a laptop running Xp media center and a Vista home premium edition upgrade disk. My computer has 1 gig of ram. ATI 256MB for video. 120 gig hard drive. So i have everything to run vista home premium no doubt. But my question is is my laptop good enough to run vista home premium as good as it handled xp?And should i upgrade to vista?

I desperately need a free trial of Word 2003 for a Word 2003 class that I am taking. HP tech support had given me a link to Microsoft UK's site with a trial link but it does not work. Where else can I get it? I DO NOT need 2007, simply 2003. Thank you.

Husband has a kodak , I have a kodak, mine has more options, but the software is the same. My pics turn out awesome , no problems here it has 50x zoom, so its cool what I can get from a digital . Anyways, problem is, we can't use the software that came with, because it sux. I removed it because it messes up the computers so badly. Nothing runs with it, and we have plenty of memory and all that crap, so that is not it. I have heard this from other people too.

I have an excel sheet with 550 rows, each row should repeat itself meaning row 1 & 2 will be the same, row 3 & 4 the same. I am inserting one row after each row and copy and paste the information from the previous row. Is there a formula that would do that for me? Thank you all
