In Word when you click the scroll bar and drag it to scroll to different pages it brings up a little yellow box that tells you what page you are currently on (Page: 1). I once saw a document where the author had it to where when you clicked on it it said what he wanted it to. For example pages one and two were the introduction so the little box said (Page:2 Introduction). Then three through six were labeled as something different. How do you set this up?

Click "View", "Outline"

Type your heading, then on the Outline Toolbar, click either the double green arrows or the single green arrow to "Promote" the heading or Click on the Drop Down Arrow and assign Levels to them. Insert your page breaks and you will see the page reference tags change.
