I get this message MOV is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker. Is there anyway FREE way I can change it to something usable by that program? Thanks for the help!

I have a pc that I have had some problems with here lately. It was running windows 98 but I had it updated to ME and added new usb ports and an ethernet connection. Then it was not wanting to restart so the pc shop got tired of having to mess with me and it so they gave it a second hard drive and windows 2000 pro and a faster processor and something else I think.
So it is just about a new pc I guess, for the most part. I even got a different tower case.
So today I loaded Mcafee uninstaller and some photo editing programs and a small printer I used to use on it and when I restarted it I got an error something about COMMAND error in windows/system32/command.com.
I removed one of the photo programs after figuring out I wouldn't need it , it was a trial version anyway, and restarted it but it didn't do it this time. Maybe it is ok but it worries me.
thanks for your help!!!

It always says that the updates are ready to install, then i install them and everything seems to be fine. Within a few minutes i see that the update is ready to install again...the same update that i supposedly already installed. This has been happening for the last few days and it is bugging me so much. Anyone know what i can do to fix this?
This is the update....MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (KB927978).

Hi, I've currently got windows XP (home) installed on my laptop's internal hard drive. Could I install Linux (Ubuntu hopefully) onto my external hard drive? My hard drive uses the FAT 32 file system and is 120 GB. Also, I've currently got files on my external hard drive. If I were to install Linux, would I have to delete those files? My computer is a HP Pavillion zt3000 with a 2Ghz Pentium M and 512 MB Ram.

Thanks!

I have to critique one found online for my computer class. I'm having difficulty finding one. I'd love either a really great or really horrible one- I'll settle for something in-between but the extremes are so much easier to critique....

Also do I need to use the CD that I installed my curent copy of Windows to repair with or can I use any Windows XP Professioanl CD?
Please reply only if you are positive of your answer
