It always says that the updates are ready to install, then i install them and everything seems to be fine. Within a few minutes i see that the update is ready to install again...the same update that i supposedly already installed. This has been happening for the last few days and it is bugging me so much. Anyone know what i can do to fix this?
This is the update....MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (KB927978).

Have you gone into your ad/remove files in your control panel and seen if it is there? If so, remove it, and then try to install it again through Microsoft.

sometimes some updates are very stubborn and don't want to be updated along with other updates. try to update that one only by going to the microsoft website. try it a few times 2 or 3. I have had the same problem with a couple of updates until I get them by themselves.

You are going to need to reinstall your update software so go ahead and uninstall it, then go to support.microsoft.com to install it again. That should work! :)
