I still want the computer to run fast, will I be able to run both of them seperately but still have them on the computer. I will most likely have windows vista home premium and linux fedora core 6 installed onto the computer. The computer will be an emachine, it will be a T5224 desktop model.

How do you do it? Do I need to download a program to make them work from the flash drive? What I mean is like... say I had a program my school didnt, and I installed it to my flash drive, then took it to school, then opened the application at school with it working from the flash drive meaning I don;t have to install it to the school computer as youre not allowed..

I know OS is operating system But where are the differences. All i use my computer for is 2 watch baseball games, go on internet, play poker, listen 2 music, instant message, type papers powerpoint and spreadsheet and stuff for school. So of the things I just mentioned what are the differences between Mac and Windows? I use Windows right now, but if i switch 2 Mac, what will be different? Basically right now I turn on Windows and I have everyting i use on my desktop...double click....and im ready 2 go. Im not sure what is different. Im not askin which is better, nor am I looking for a technical asnwer. but rather....as a Windows user who switches 2 a Mac....u will notice ____?

Ive imported a file and the thumbnails are visable okay..but when i try to watch the clip i can only hear audio..the clips are blank!

Somthing that i also saw was that when i watched the vid in WMedia player it was upside down!

Any internet security program out there like norton 2005 or 2006 that can run on vista? I had 2 years of 2006 left and it wont run on my vista. So thats a waste. i got a 30 day trial of norton 2007 and hate it. any ideas?

I have been using DOS and MS Windows ever since I touched a computer. Now my field is requiring me to have a knowledge of UNIX.

It would be cheaper than buying a new computer, and being that daylight savings will be march 11, this year, I'm worried about my computer- particularly that it wont reset the time, on its own. Of course, I'm also worried that my cell phone wont.

Which is totally aggrevating for many reasons, but the main reason is the dam activation. Since i have put xp on this system 7 or 8 timesthey want a new activation #. I've finally got this dam thing running good and im on a record of 10 days. I dont wanna spend another 100 on another activation key. A bunch of crap anyway. Considering xp is 5 years old. Really apprecate a good answer.
