Software (Computers & Internet) - January 2007

Personally, I like Mozilla Firefox the best, as I have experienced less spyware since i started using it. At the same time, Firefox blocks ALL popups, which Internet Explorer did not do when i used it. I think that most people just use Internet Explorer because it is an integrated part of Windows. If it wasn't, and everybody actually had to choose which web browser they wanted to use, I think that a lot more would choose Firefox, or Opera, instead of Internet Explorer.
Am I all wrong about this, or what do you think?

HI, does anyone out there know how I can run Russian programs on on a non russian XP system?

The programs don't have embedded fonts and all the characters come up as question marks or strange symbols. I have the comp set up to read all non unicode characters as Russian but, still no joy.

I still have windows 98 and IE4. Please help?

My hp is broke and I have been using xp and ie6. I got my old dell out and it still works but it has windows 98 and ie4. I tried to download ie7 but I keep getting an error that something is trying to be performed and click yes to proceed. I click yes and then get the same pop up. Does anyone out there know what I can do or where I can go for help?

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem?

When im on the internent a thing keeps popping up & says internet explorer has encountered a problem & needs to close. I also keep getting these stupid pop ups on my desk top about security updates & thing to take virus's away. Does anyone know what this is from?? My computer is running slow & its very annoying can anyone help me?
