Assuming Windows:
Sounds like you've either deleted a part of Word, or Adobe Acrobat PDF viewer, or (unlikely) the Windows Picture & Fax Viewer.
I don't know about the Word component, but Adobe PDF viewer is free to redownload, and you can get the windows component from an installation CD.
If that's not your operating system/solution then I can keep trying.

It would depend on what type of document your trying to view. There are several programs that come with windows to view documents (notepad and wordpad), they can be opened from Start -> Programs -> accessories. If they are not in there go to Start -> settings -> control panel -> add/remove programs. Than on the left hand side chose windows programs. Make sure they are installed.
However, if this does not work, you may need a different viewer such as adobe, etc. Find out what the extension is of the file your trying to open (.doc, etc). go to www.google.com than search for that extenstion to see what type of program you will need to open it

I think you have mistakenly posted the same question 4 times. Check your Recycle Bin.
