My computer no longer detects the modem. So now the internet doesnt work! Ahhh! I need it by sunday!

Assuming you are using cable or dsl internet, if you are connecting from your modem with a usb cord then you would need to install the usb drivers and they should be on a disk that was with your modem or call you internet service provider and see if they have the drivers on a disk that you can pick up, you can also try to download them from the internet (at a friends house or the library) and burn them to the cd.

If you are using an ethernet cord and no router, shut down your computer and unplug your modem from the power wait 30 seconds and then plug your modem back in, give it a minute to restore a connection and then turn your computer back on.

some modems are not detected by windows as they are stand alone in that's case you need the driver that came with the modem and failing that you need to find the name of the manufacturer so you can go to there web site and down load from there bring a flash drive with you to store the files

The modem will have a disk or CD with the install files on it probably.

your modem will have a disc with it, this will have the drivers needed for it to work, you will have to install these

you need to manually choose your modem and re install it then re install your IP software
