I recently had a problem on my Win2000 that when it boots up, it says NTLDR not found. I only get the option to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Is that the same thing happening to you?
Well, if so, then I've tried every trick in the book to fix it permenantly with no luck (recovery utility, restoring the boot system files and master boot record via dos prompt).
However, I did accidentally find a way to get around it though.
I just keep a bootable Windows CD in my CD drive and it works.
Make sure you have the bootup options, in BIOS/CMOS to be in order: 1) Floppy, 2) CD ROM, 3) Hard Drive
So now when I boot up, it pauses and says "Press any key to boot from CD". I don't press any key, after 5 seconds, it continues the normal bootup off the hard drive. Not sure why this works, but it does.
