Software - November 2006

When I try to open photoshop on my PC, it gets all the way through the start up, but gets stuck on "Reading Text Global Resources...Done". It won't open the program after this, and I'll have to end the task in task manager. What is causing this to happen, and is there a way to fix it?

I set up an win xp operating system (full install) on the active partition expecting it to delete the existing one, instead I now have 2 systems, how do I delete the existing one without affecting the new one, as I am running short of space. I followed the instructions ie reformat ntfs etc. but still ended up with 2

I have windows or microsoft xp whatever u wanna call it but i accidentally moved the blue toolbar (the one that has "Start" on the left hand side) on the desktop to the top of the screen and i can't get it back to the bottom where i like it. I fell so screwed up now please help me!

I'm creating a spreadsheet for others to use to send me large amounts of data in one document. All data will be text and my colleagues will fill out various columns of data. I need to work out how, in Excel, you can set it up so that if someone copies and pastes text into a cell, it all remains in one cell. i.e. if their text has paragraph breaks, making sure it all goes into one cell. Every time I try copying and pasting blocks of text with paragraphs in it, the text runs into consecutive cells. I really need it all to go in one cell. Is there any way of controlling Excel like this? This is really urgent! Thanks! Andrew

When I use Yahoo, the search comes back normal, I click on one of the links and it sends me to another search engine...this happens twice, then it goes to the correct webpage.

I've tried HiJackThis, AdAware, Spybot and I have Norton running...even used the TrendMicro program...nothing seems to work.

Which Software is better for burning DVD,CD and making a DVD videos. Nero 7 Ultra Edition or Easy Media Creator 9 Suite.
If there is a problem with one off them please don't Hastateto tell.

I have an e-machine with XP Home edition installed.
I click on "Shut Down" & the computer starts going through the
motions & gets to the point of "Windows is shutting down" and

I believe the answer is NO, but I wanted to ask. Here's my situation. I have an old Dell desktop that came with all the Microsoft Office software. I wish to move it to a new Dell that I bought that doesn't have any Office software. I do not know if this is possible. There are just so many files pertaining to Office, I would not know which to copy. Any ideas? Also, since it came preinstalled on a Dell computer, can Dell send me the install disks do you think?

Note: I'm going to delete it off the old computer and get rid of the old computer, so it's not like I'm trying to illegally copy it. It's still my legitimate legal copy, but I want it on a different computer of mine.
