Hello, I am looking for a software in which I can create Flash Animation (cartoons) like jibjab.com, and neweggs.com e.t.c
I am fairly new into this so something user friendly :-)

I want to know what kind of Linux software I should get because I have a OptiPlex GX110 as a personal comp so yah. I want to get one that would be good for my comp so I dont have a bad day and cant get to sleep because of that. and also If you would happen to have the url to the site where I can dowload it then that would be great.

If i get a computer with a Windows XP home COA sticker but no operating system can i use an XP home CD that i already installed on another computer but instead of typing in the included code on the CD can i just type in the code that's on the coa sticker?

I copied files from a cd and they appear as wma files. I downloaded and tried several converter such as switch and they converted the files into mp3 but the problem is that my Wplayer9 can't play them back.

Burnt home movie to DVD-RW and DVD+R using PC, neither of which are readable in home Toshiba SD-3750 player. I now see that the player's manual lists only DVD-R as 'playable'. OK, so at least the -RW should work, right ?? Similar footage burnt onto similar DVD-RW disc using Mac G4 laptop plays just fine on said Toshiba. The footage is in MPEG format on hard-drive prior to burn. What is the G4 doing differently than PC ?? The footage I'm trying to burn was analog coming from a camcorder, and transferred to PC using KWORLD DVD Maker USB2.0. Seems to me I might need to get footage into different format before burning from PC. Oh yeah, using Roxio Easy DVD Creator 6.
You're a genius if you can get me outta this jam. Thanks in advance for your accurate feedback.

My Olympus camera takes .mov movies. I want to edit them and add digital photos and add music. I have Windows Movie Maker. This program will not read .mov files How do I get Windows Movie Maker to read them? In the alternative, what program will let me edit .mov files, add digital photos and sound? thanks

even using the shortkut keys leads up to an attention window saying "failed to hibernate as this state is not presently supported.Do you want to enable the hibernation now?"
but when you click yes the same window comes up saying the same!clicking yes for the second window closes it with no result!
even I have tested the "power options properties"in control panel but there is no hibernation tab available to enable hibernation!

I login to a bunch of different hosts via NIS and my /home/me is on a mounted nfs file system and in there is my .profile where my PATH=$PATH lives . If I want certain directories to be included included in my path only when I login to a particular system - what do I need to do? Or should I just add add all the paths I might want for all the systems I log into in that .profile?

call me stupid, but i can't figure this out!! i have some dvd movies that i downloaded and now want to burn them. have nero oem suite/6.6 that came with dvd rom i bought, but i #1 can't figure out what discs' i need dvd-r(rw) cd-r(rw), #2 how the heck to get them to fit & burn.
