Im using windows XP sp1, and I hat it to death pos. MS sucks, everything is so expensive and of poor quality with them.

I want to get xandros (linux distro) casuse its supposed to be super awsome, and only 80 bucks.

so, what OS are you using and why?

I recently uninstalled and reloaded windows XP and now for some reason I get a option screen during boot up that gives me the choice of loading Windows XP or Windows Recovery Console. At the bottom it say press F8 for troubleshooting . It takes me to a screen that gives me options in Safe Mode, some other things i can't recall, and start windows normally. Of course I chose start windows normally. But the screen still comes up everytime I reboot. How do I get rid of this?

right now I am using opera 9, which I just got today, and so far it is awsome. Has howed me even more than when I made the transition from IE to firefox. IE sucks to hell btw, dont use it. IE allows people to take controll of your computer. Using opera, its has blown firefox away, it uses much less memory also. It strikes me as very high quality.

can anyone send me the iso to a win2k please. my disc that i created is messed up it said that 2 particular files setup uses is missing or corrupted i forgot which one is needed. i know how to do everything to reboot my computer but i can't find out what is going on. windows 2000 pro needed i have bought my copy so those sensitive to piracy calm down i just want to test what is going on.

Hello-

I'm looking for a new computer game that is similar to the Monkey Island Series or Zoombinis (old games, I know).

I would like something that is not a "shoot them up" game (I can do that on my bf's PS2) and is more stratagy/logic, but entertaining, funny, and interesting.

Sim City type games won't work, because they are too boring for me. I don't like sitting there watching my city (or neighborhod grow), because it's too slow. Also, I would like to interact with the game all the time, except for the occasional 30 second movie (like in Curse of Monkey Island).

So... any ideas?

I need to program a marquee sign for work and the software that comes with the sign requires 98 se. The entire company uses xp, and isn't 98 obsolete now anyways?. Is there anyway I can make the software work with xp?. It is supposed to be programmed through dos, so should it make a difference of which operating system is being used?
