I download stuff but have no clue how to install.. Is there a Installation program available the will install stuff for you??

lol When you download "applications" for Linux
it's usualy just the source code. The Read-me
will specify the required compiler to use (Most
apps. are made using C/C++).

Just do a search on Amazon for a book that explains the linux version that you are running. Learning how to do things on Linux will take more then a webpage to learn.

each linux distribution has its own installation way
