I believe its easier to find PHP help online.
And, PHP allows you to also use regular HTML. So its easy to edit...
I suppose it all depends on what you want to do.
Just so you know: If your looking for passwords and usernames, PHP isn't all that secure, but its easier.

PHP of course. I know alot of sites which uses JSP and crashes often due to heavy traffic. Friendster is one of 'em. they used to be using JSP pages but now converted to PHP as JSP is giving lot of problems with high traffic problem. my school's elearning website crashed many times and it is written in JSP. they resolved the problem by converting to ASP. it happens when everybody logs in at the same time...

PHP is also alot easier to learn and is very popular. i heard it is in demand too. I used to be a PHP programmer myself
