Hello-

I'm looking for a new computer game that is similar to the Monkey Island Series or Zoombinis (old games, I know).

I would like something that is not a "shoot them up" game (I can do that on my bf's PS2) and is more stratagy/logic, but entertaining, funny, and interesting.

Sim City type games won't work, because they are too boring for me. I don't like sitting there watching my city (or neighborhod grow), because it's too slow. Also, I would like to interact with the game all the time, except for the occasional 30 second movie (like in Curse of Monkey Island).

So... any ideas?

Thanks!!!

You might not like the idea of getting The Sims (because of the simulation in it) but its not at all like Sim city, you can interact all the time, there are always things to discover and new things to try and you can set the game speed if you want things to get faster... but ok.

There would be a Zoombinis II for PC and you might have fun playing Worms 3d

Have you considered an RPG type of game? You could probably get a copy of Neverwinter Nights and its modules, off of Ebay for butt cheap. These are some of the best games ever made for the PC.

As far as shoot em ups go, the PS2 sucks ***. I mean it is pathetic compared to the sweet stuff you can get for a decent PC. Doom3 is one of the best ever created. Play this game at night, with the lights turned off and surround sound for best effect. It's scary as hell, so it's not for everyone. A much more technically fun shooter is the game, F.E.A.R. It's not as intense a game as Doom3 but it has a more interesting playstyle. Much more tactical in nature where Doom3 is more action packed. These games have mature ratings for a reason.

Any video games that initiate with "Age of..." like numerous age of empires or mythology are solid. despite you do don't get worldwide of warcraft. It expenses like 60 money for the activity with the upward push and the 15 a month. additionally youll lose 3 or 4 months of your life(and via 3 or 4 months i propose i spent almost 2600 hours over 2 and a a million/2 years enjoying it)

I assume you want some Adventure type games.

You may try "Indigo Prophecy" or "Dreamfall: The Longest Journey". Note that from what I heard, "Indigo Prophecy" has bad control with keyboard and mouse, and it is recommanded to play with a gamepad.

Also, note the system requirement and recommandation. You may need a good computer to run them.

If possible, find the demo and try them first.

Try War Craft 3. It has some SimCity elements where you build stuff but you're constantly attacking other people while defending your place. Its a strategy game that is really fun.
