Microsoft has its own spyware program now, its called Windows Defender. It works well, and you know it will be compatible with Windows.. and its free!

try using a couple,they all usually miss something, lavasoft ad-aware ispretty good,but by far the best is superantispyware, enter the name in a search and get the free download.i cant recommend this highly enough. good luck.
