Does Media Player open when you put the CD in? If not, what program opens (if any)?

What do you have set as your default media player, if you know?

Does your CD drive work when you are using other programs/platforms to operate it?

Is it all CDs that Media Player won't play...or just one CD in particular?

Answer these questions and maybe I can help.

Your CD is probably damaged or dirty and the computer won't read it. Try another CD, if that doesn't work then maybe you messed with the settings somehow, because I've never changed anything and my WMP plays any CD I put in it that isn't severly damaged.
