i recently had a few viruses on my computer. after getting rid of my old antivirus program, i downloaded a new one from norton. unforntuantely, the large size of the program caused my computer to be incredibly slow after i turned on the computer. for example, my internet browser would take a long time to open, and things like microsoft word documents would take a whopping 15-20 mins to open. after conducting virus scans with norton and not finding anything, i got rid of it, because i thought it was making my computer slow. i then got AVG, and after i did a scan, it found a trojan. thing is, now the scans from AVG i do show no viruses, but still, when i turn on the computer, it takes anywhere from 20 mins to an hour for everything to speed up to normal levels. at these normal levels, my computer is fine. is my computer just loading everything up after i turn it on? or is there still a virus? if so, should i change my antivirus prgram?
