As .your question is asked from the catagory of "computer and internet "...you might be asking about the "security" of your pc system while in logged on.. in some network domain via your ISP in the internet network. The previous first answerer should have realized that.. any way..if you are talking about the security issue of your pc in your network..then your system is said to be insecured or poorly secured if
1.if your system has not a proper firewall (updated) and so it is not proteced against unnecessary network intrusion from outside
2.a potential anti-spyware is not installed to immunize the active x contents of your browser..or active onguard is disabled or keylogger guard is inactive
Those anti-virus firewall and anti-spyware guard have to be up to date
3.if you have remote desktop connection for help session or if you have file and printer sharing then your systen may fall into lack of security issue ..if you are not an advanced user or operator or systen maitainer
4. if you have not a bios password...then any one can log on in to your windows system
5.if you have not enabled your user account (as administrator) passward protected.
6. if you have installed a u-PnP( Universal Plug and Play) framework..your pc system will be shown in your "my network places" and all common /sharing files and folders will be accsessible to other users in your network
7. if you are not aware of reguler scanning your system from latest virus and spyware threats
8.if you are not aware of scanning any new files/folders avilable to you thru downloading, in floppy diskett, cd/dvd roms, mobile disks etc.before opening, running or installing
9.if are not aware of investigating source ,subject, objective of a new e-mail before opening
If you donot use "genuine microsoft software" for your windows operating system..because pirated and counterfeited softwares are more exposed and vulnerable to spyware and other network intrusion threats.
For more information please read the pc security and maintainence topics of windows "Help and Support" section
Hope this will help.
Thanks.
