Why can't I use my add or remove programs or go into my security settings?

When I go into my control panel and click on add or remove programs nothing comes up and the same thing happens when I try to click on security settings.

I think you need to be logged in under an Administrator's account, or one with such privileges.

well these two are right,i have a password on all 4 of our puters for the adm. much safer when you have teens around.

netthief is right...
You should have permission to do so.
Try to log-in in admin mode and do .. definitely you will be able to do. .
if you cant then get back to answers
