I mean like the administrator account that is created when you first install xp. I'm talking about just any computer administrator account. It lets me log onto it when I boot in safe mode, but how do I get on it otherwise? Thanks.

ok on the right hand icon near time i have a like no enter sign that keeps flashing i have tried clicking on it to delete it it just keeps taking me to a site called spydawn. the icon is called system alert it takes me to a site in which is asking me to buy a spyware product i dont wish to buy it but how do i get rid of the icon as it wont go at all...

I have a cassette tape that I want to get onto either an MP3 or burn on a CD. How can I do this? (It's my own demo music). I don't have protools or anything like that, just a tape player and a computer with a CD burner.

I have a few CD-Rs that I've put music on and I now have more music I'd like to add to them, but the computer won't let me take songs off or put new ones on. Is there any way to totally erase the memory from the disc? Or, even better, to just take off individual files?

When I was deleting some old files on my Windows XP, I accediantly deleted my sound card and now I have no sound. I hear some of the sounds through the tower of my computer. I tried to reinstall the sound card through the drives cd the came with my computer but I get an error messege that says, "Driver not found, rebot your system and run this set-up again." Am I installing the wrong audio driver? Is there a sound card that I can download online? Thanks in advance!!!

This means deleting all current files and everything- im not refering to system restore and i dont want to have to completely re-install windows xp but i want my comp back to the way i got it when installed xp- fileless

Can anyone explain the differences between picture formats? I am trying to download a few pics into a yahoo group I recently started but, my computer identifies them as "PNG" images and yahoo only accepts JPEG's. I have changed other types like Bitmap images into JPEGs using my photoshop program but, for some reason it will not do this for the PNG format. Can anyone tell me how to change these images into JPEG so that I can use them for my group??

I have a home DVD recorder (Sony RDR) and I have to transfer a VHS tape to a DVD so that I can then store it on the computer. That was my plan, I burned the DVD and it plays fine on the DVD player but once I put it in my computer it treats is as if it's blank or says "Please insert disk". Why?
