i know there is a way to access what the core temp of the chip... whats the easy way? (just to make sure my comp is running safe) and what are safe working temperatures?

If you are using Windows, try SpeedFan http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

It allows you to monitor temperature and voltage (assuming your computer's BIOS supports this). Depending upon you motherboard, you may also be able to control fan speeds and adjust the clock speed (front side bus).

Safe working temp, I dont know. Depends on your computer but not by much. You could check it by going into the BIOS. When you startup your computer(but before windows starts), keep pressing the delete key. Just make sure you dont change any settings.
