Quarantine and or delete it ASAP. Then run it again to make sure it's gone. Any Trojan that is found should all ways be deleted. They can get worse. Why would you want to save it or move it into a chest when you can get rid of it?

If its in the virus vault or chest, it can't affect the pc from there. Leave it there for a week or so and check that none of your programs are affected. If its a 'system file', leave it until you can find out how to do a repair installation.
But you do need to scan again to make sure it hasn't re-installed itself from backup files. If it has, switch off system restore and scan again in safe mode.
Go to Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.
Run your anti virus and anti spyware in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode repeatedly press the F8 key after the bios screen loads but before Windows loads. You'll know if you made it because the screen will be at 800 x 600 and your pc will be slow.
You need all these anti spyware programs;
http://www.ewido.net - AVG(Ewido) anti trojan.
http://www.safer-networking.org - Spybot Search and Destroy anti spyware. Use the Teatimer settings to protect Internet Explorer, and the Immuniser to stop malware getting on your pc.
Spywareblaster works with Internet Explorer and Firefox. It won't uninstall spyware that is already on your pc, but it will prevent hijacks and other malicious changes to your browser.

Plus;
http://www.lavasoft.com - Ad-Aware SE Personal anti adware

it sounds like you have avast, a very good free anti virus, i would suggest leaving it in the chest for a day or two to make sure it hasnt affected any other programs then delete it, while it is in the chest it cannot do any more harm, it is isolated from the rest of the pc

chest i guess is like quarantine, meaning the file is still on your computer but not permitted to run.
emty the chest by deleting the files it contains regularly.
what are you using one of the freeware scanners like AVG or something?
get a decent quality ddefence suite. manhy exist. and one good one is the trendmicro pccillin.
put it this way since installing this i have never had a virus infect my computer. i only ever get the cookies i allow through as part of normal web browsing (approved sites).
the version i have cost me £40 for a three seat/ user licence) that means i can run one copy on three computers for under £15 a year each. bargain considering mcaffee and norton cost at least the same and in some cases three times the price for a single seat (user) licence.

good luck.
remember to run http://housecall.trendmicro.com

Yes the chest is like a secure room where the virus remains until deleted by you.
It can not affect the computer from there.

to get rid of it completely empty your virus vault
the virus vault is a folder where AVG moves viruses it detects to and where the virus can't do any harm
