I removed it from programs etc, and it is still there. I tried to email customer service on the site and the email is returned as non exsistant.

i go to the start button, press "shut down", it does, than a couple seconds later it reboots and comes back up. I have to pull the plug to get it to shut down, why does it do this, and how do i get it to shut of from the start button as normal ??

Take for example AVIRA Antivirus PE Classic and Norton Antivirus 2006.
Both come with antivirus scanning, internet guard, regular updates, quarantine, so on.... The only different is that you gotta pay for Norton Antivirus 2006 not only for the program but for a subscription!!!

I dont think there is any problems w/mouse as such otherwise it'd not have worked the 1 time it did. once when i booted the comp it said that the mouse shld be inserted in the ps/2 slot n pc switched on again. although it was plugged in. i did it again n swirched the pc on, but still in vain. after a few hrs i shut/switched off the pc and switched on and the mouse was working until i opened a new tab in the browser that the comp just went blank. i restarted and the mouse stopped working. what could be the problem, looks like driver , mmeory i think. if u do have a solution please try to anser the query. thanks.

I'm pretty certiain that I have a virus. Whenever I go into "Documents and Settings" in the C drive, there is a folder with my name (user name?) in it (located next to another folder 'all users'). Whenever I go into the folder of my name, all hell breaks loose and the computer errors out, freezes, and must be manually restarted. The folder of my user name seems to 'house' the virus. I tried using antivirus progams (Norton) and antispyware programs, but it did not help. I tried doing a system restore (several times) but that too did not work. As a desperate man, what I'm wondering is this: if I were to delete my entire user name folder (which contains my documents, start menu, desktop, favorites etc), will all of those items be gone forever?? Or...are they kind of like a shortcut, and if I delete them, I will still have the original programs. The reason I'm asking is because start menu items are primarily located on the start menu as are documents...Please help!!!

Hello my desktop started acting weird a while back. i've tried everything. new vid card drivers. over clocking my vid card. closing almost all processes while i run counterstrike(1.6). ive even formatted my hard drives and installed a bone version of windows xp. after about 2 minutes into the game it slows down to about 3 frames per second. then after about 2 mins of that horrible fps. it will go back to fine working order for about 30 seconds and start all over again. it didn't used to be like this back in the day. its not that beautiful of a game but i just cant give it up. it does the same with any 3d game or with any flash animation or when i watch a movie, but old *** starcraft works ,but that **** gets boring after a while. Any HELP PLEASE?!?! it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Heres my specs.
processor : Intel Pentium 4 1.60Ghz
video card : Riva Tnt 2 model 64 pro
384 mb ram

where can i find a website that will display a high quality video (or images updated frequently) of some interesting location?

I have a monitor i don't use often at work and i wish it was a window i could look out of to see live, actual happenings (squirrels climbing on trees, etc.)

not interested in screensavers or other static non-live pictures/videos.

I was having a problem with my computer and stupidly re-installed Windows 2k Pro in the same directory. Now I can't access software that can't be reloaded under the new env.

Since Vista is on the market, now seems like a good time to start making a decision on a new PC.
My situation is; that I use my PC for some small business bookkeeping, but more for personal use. That being playing mp3s storing digital pics and surfing the web.
One thing to add is that I don't really get into games so high end graphics, etc. are not a concern.
One things I have been told is go for a P4 rather than a Celeron. Does it really matter?
Also deciding to spend some extra for a widescreen laptop, or stay with a desktop since portability is more of a want than a need for me.
I have built my own in the past, but I think this time it might be cost effective to buy brand name such as Dell.
Looking for good, knowlegable input. Thanks!
