When your computer is running slow, it usually an issue of RAM, not processing speed. And that is something you can fix quickly and easily. Just follow these instructions.
1. Click Start
2. Go to the Control Panel
3. Make sure the Control Panel is in Classic View and click System
4.Click the Advanced Tab
5. Open the Performance Settings by clicking the Settings button under the header Performance
6. Click the Advanced tab
7. Click the Change button under Virtual Memory
8. Select your C: drive in the list
9. Select Custom Size
10. Increase the Initial and Maximum sizes by about 1000-3000 MB's a piece
11. Click OK
12. Click Apply
13. Restart if necessary

What you have just done is allowed your computer to use a portion of your hard drive as if it were RAM. This will speed up your computer and make high-CPU-demanding programs such as ITunes run more smoothly. This is completely safe, I assure you.

Working with a slow computer can be time consuming as programs/ applications take a long time to start. This problem is more pronounced in computers which have been used for 6 or more months. More information at http://fixit.in/slowcomputer.html
