Since Vista is on the market, now seems like a good time to start making a decision on a new PC.
My situation is; that I use my PC for some small business bookkeeping, but more for personal use. That being playing mp3s storing digital pics and surfing the web.
One thing to add is that I don't really get into games so high end graphics, etc. are not a concern.
One things I have been told is go for a P4 rather than a Celeron. Does it really matter?
Also deciding to spend some extra for a widescreen laptop, or stay with a desktop since portability is more of a want than a need for me.
I have built my own in the past, but I think this time it might be cost effective to buy brand name such as Dell.
Looking for good, knowlegable input. Thanks!

I should add that I plan on keeping my old system for XP since I found out older Quickbook programs are not compatible. Seems too convienent to me that everything incompatible, but what can you do?
