My computer > Properties > System Restore > just check Turn off system restore.

To manually turn off System Restore, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. Click the System Restore tab.
3. Click to select the Turn off System Restore check box (or the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box), and then click OK.
4. Click Yes when you receive the prompt to the turn off System Restore.

Ok here ya go, click start,programs,accessories,system tools,system restore,on left of page about center click system restore settings,make sure you are on the system restore tab and check the box,Turn Off System Restore On All Drives, now click Apply then OK. All done. "PEACE"

I have an aspire and I need to do the same thing. I downloaded a free Mcafee trial and now I can't access the internet. Pllus, the keys don't work, (No I don't have scroll lock on). I have a system restore but can't access it? Help I am using someone else's computer. I went to the website of acer no, info.

Start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore. You might need to restored it to the date you bought it. Follow instructions on window.

Now, if you can't figure the rest out, box the computer up and send it back where you got it.

with that many viruses you better do a complete system recovery
talk to the manufacturer on how to do it.

i think that it means to restart the computer...sometimes you have to do that after you make updates or get rid of viruses...hope it helps!
