we just got this computer from a freind and looked ok but now it freezes up .it will do that sometimes but u have alwys turn it off and then start all over anything that i can use thtas free to help me before i take it to a computer guy i paid only 100 for it

i am making a spreadsheet, and I need the first couple of rows to stay put, so that I don't have to make a new one for the top of each page. I want to be able to scroll the rest of my list, but have those top 3 rows, for example, stay put. HELP!!!

I went on my friend's myspace b/c I know her password, she said it's cool. Well I looked up my ex-boyfriend's email to see if he had one. He does, I accidently added him as a friend which is really bad b/c it's gonna know it's me and we are on horrible terms..long story. But anyway is there any way to undo this???

I did a disk clean-up and a defrag. I would like to see it run a little better. It has 512M of RAM. I don't know how to clean up the programs that might be running at Startup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would seem that the only reason any FAT is given its respective name is because of the number of bits it enables, i.e. FAT16 has 16 bits, FAT32 has 32 bits, e.t.c. Notwithstanding the extra security, file protection, e.t.c., NTFS itself has 64 bits. So why not just call it FAT64? Or is the very reason it is it given a different name because it offers features that were not offered with FAT?

All my photos on Flickr have the minor licensed restrictions for people to download my pics. These restrictions are all I could find on Flickr, yet many people have full copyright on their pics which means noone has rights to them or can download them. I've looked everywhere for this setting and can't find it. How do you set it for default copyright?

I need help figuring out what this font is... I don't have any visible examples, but it is a symbol typed font. Characters include, but are not limited to:

my pc's dvd player audio is very soft even at full volume levels. winamp and other programs work perfect.only when i watch a dvd ,the sound goes down. how can i fix this?

I burned a video on a DVD, and the DVD is now DVD-Video with the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS subfolders. The video plays on my computer on Windows Media Player, but not on my DVD Player. It is a DVD-R. The video is not encrypted and I repeat the video plays on my computer.

I have 5 files for an assignment all word documents. Some are in landscape and others in portrait (because of diagrams etc). I tried to insert one file after another but the files are all changed to either portrait or landscape which messes up my work.

I need them all in a single file to submit on line. All help welcome, thanks - John

Say, you're buying a computer.
Is there a site that when you customize your computers, it will make suggestions based on data collected from other customers.
For example, say, if I select my OS to be Windows Vista, it will look in the database it has to see what other people normally select to go with Windows Vista. And, when I move on to customize the next item, let's go with ram here. It will suggest (maybe at the bottom of the page) that I should go with 2GB (because that is the size of ram that other people, who has selected Windows Vista, normally select)

I read a couple of articles that propose this kind of system. These articles have been out for a while. I just don't know if we are already using it in real life.

I know dell.com doesn't have such a feature, but do you know of any site?
