How do I take clips out of my mp3s?

I want to use part of a song for a ringtone, but how do I make a 30-second clip of it into a separate mp3 file?

Use Audacity, it's a free audio file editing program. Just select the part you want and export it to an MP3.

You should use Audacity.
It's great! I used it to make a short clip and also make it into a ringtone onto my razor. Works like a charm. There's so much you can do with it, it's very very easy to use, and it's of course free. :)
