I tried limewire (basic)for the first time , i have a laptop,a reliance wireless connection. When I searched for a few songs, or anything at all, i got this msgbox saying ' limewire is currently connecting to the network your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network', if i click ok and continue searching, the search finishes, but i dontget the song, i.e the icone on the topright stops, but nothing else happens..... help plz?????is it dangerous??

i went to microsoft.com and entered windows xp sp 2 in the search bar...i clicked on the link to download it but when i reboot my system it still does say that i have it installed...i checked the system properties but it doesnt say service pack 2

Alright so I was online, and all of a sudden this box out of no where came up, stupidly,I exited up , not reading it. It was something about cookies. And now I am restricted from going on my Myspace. It says this "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. My someone direct me in to how to fix this problem fast??

Every time i try to get on the internet from my home computer it opens the screen in the far right side of my computer screen. I can't even see it or get to it to drag it back. Is this a virus?

Its a very big problem that anyone is hacking and lock my pc from windows password . I have make reset password disk by floppy rom , but this hacker has crashed that also and written message in pasword hint that " I don't let you to use your pc , I have some devices from which I can access your pc from one mile far away and I am listening you also from your voice . No antivirus software, no window defender , no window firewall will block me to lock your pc "
Sir , there is no way to hide him , he crash all of windows password, I don't know who is he or she , just he write the message in hint place .
Please if you can help me so do it soon and give the solution so I can follow these instructions

Yes one main thing is that , I have no lan card , no net connection , no cable or dsl modem , then also he did lock my pc from windows password , I just reinstall my pc and within 5 min ( if he or she available at his place ) so he lock my pc .
2nd main thing is that , my pc got lock at only my home , and I got many pc from my friends, cousin , neighbours but this hacker does lock that all pc too . It means NO PC CAN RUN FROM MY HOME .
please I want your help on this matter

I play an Online game called dark age of camelot. Up until recently there was never any problems. Now, everytime i play within 5-30 mins my computer shuts off and makes an alarm or siren type of noise until i turn off the power strip. But it only does this when i play the game and never had any problems until recently. Here is my Computer Stats are

AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2800+
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 128 MB
74 gig HD, with 20 Gigs free
1024 megs of ram
Direct X 9c with Windows XP
3 meg cable internet

I cant think of any software I installed around that time that it started doing this. It really is an annoying noise that in my opinion sounds like something serious, but it NEVER does otherwise. Also it is a bit laggy as startup which is new. Ive used Adaware,Windows Defender and HiJackthis as i am somewhat computer savvy. Also Windows Live One Care, all show a clean log. Uninstalled nearly all other software that wasent required. Completely stumped. Can anyone please help?

I dont want anyone to see my pictures, I want it to be password protected. Is this possible? And Im not talking about different users. I have company coming, I know that they will want to "hangout" on my computer and i dont want them to log in as a guest, they will be logged in as me, I just have pics I dont want them to see. :)

I have Windows Xp Sp2 and having prob with outlook express.The attachments in the OE do not open.I have to save it on harddisk and then when I open them the message appears the command failed to execute.Moreover frequently the computer presents a stop error message where it says ur windows have been shutdown to prevent further damage due wincomp.sys file disappeared without any precommand.Please help me this are two probs in one Q

Right now I have an html document that I'm looking to convert to a jpeg file or to a .pdf, though I realize converting to a .pdf probably involves having adobe software (which I don't, unfortunately, except the reader). Anyway, I have a map that I built on mapbuilder.net and I'm trying to get it into either of the above forms. I saved it from the internet and it went into html format. If you have any suggestions or know of a way to convert that type of file, I would really appreciate your info. Thanks.

If you win an ebay item and pay through pay pal, are you supposed to enter your credit card details every time or are they saved? Because this is the second thing I have purchased and I did not have to enter my credit card details. Does it seem unsafe that they are saved on the paypal website, and i dont have to enter them every time i buy something?

hi. i was in the habit of turning off my AVG antivirus program to run games and then i forgot to turn it back on. anyway i ran an anti-spyware and found out i had a trojan downloader on my PC. then AVG said it found a trojan. so i ran complete scans and removed all the bad stuff. but now when i try to download files, my download speed is way way slower. like a server i could download 500 kb/s from is now about 100 kb/s. i tested on multiple sites and it is definitely way slower. i think the virus must have caused this somehow even though i removed it. what can i do?
