I'm worried since it's new. Is it really that buggy? I'm also scared of change and the If it's not broke don't fix it rule.

Well, I got to tell ya. I got Vista and I think it works great so far..I don't know why all the haters keep talkin about all the bugs. I haven't seen them so far. Granted I have only been using the final release for about a week, but everything is a ok so far.

I haven't got it because I work in IT and in the IT world you never purchase a new operating system for at least 8 months after it has been released, 12 months is better. This gives them time to release service packs and bug fixes, as well as the price will drop a little in 12 months. If you have a laptop do not even think about getting it if you use the battery all of the time because it's fancy visual effects and features mean that you loose about 20% of your battery life. I think that it could be a good system in time but not yet, it needs a lot of bug fixes. Also remember that Microsoft stated making the operating system to be released after vista a couple of years ago so I don't know how long it will be around for.

I'm starting to get suspicious.

With new software always coming out, that makes the old software obsolete quicker.

Also, all the updates could be damaging to my computer rather than doing what they say it's supposed to do...fight off viruses and the like.

Could be all a gimmick.

Why do they keep giving us long acceptance agreements that we have to check off..."agree"? That tells me something could be fishy.

I had a good run with Windows98, and now with WindowsXP it's a lot faster but also different.

I don't know what VISTA does that these two prior systems didn't do. Once you get used to a system, they go and change it on you.

Well, so far Bill Gates is concerned i think he is doing good in computer business, VISTA is as well a good thing of his creation and motive, but lot has to be done,
it has good graphics,
visualizations are great,
its handy.........but the thing that deserts its beauty is its unstability and vulnerability to worms and trojans. Weak internet security tacts has made it and easy prey to virus miniacs.
