Go to the control panel (make sure that you're in classic view) and click on system. It should say there Service Pack 2 more than likely if you bought your computer in the last 18 months it should be installed....

Go to your desktop, right click on My Computer, Go for properties and on General tab below system version of your installed windows and your service pack information is available.

right click my computer> properties > in general tab look at bottom and it will either say xp service pack 1 or xp service pack 2, I think you got it from there..

Hold the windows key (the one with the logo on it) and press pause/break. This brings up the system properties window. Top item is your current windows version and will detail whether sp2 is installed or not.

Right click your "MY Computer" icon choose "Properties". Look under "System". If you have Service Pack 2 it will show up here.
