How do I back up all my important stuff like favorities, cookies, documents etc?

Cuz I"m going to do a PC restore and restore my computer to factory conditions

You have to do a backup up somehow either to another drive, CD, DVD, or USB Flash using the Microsoft Backup program within your windows.

You need to backup this specific directory if you want to keep all your personal stuff:

C:/Documents and Settings/, where your login name is the login of all the favorites and settings that you want to backup now and restore later.

That directory backs up your documents, favorites, and cookies for that user.

Favorites , Yes Docs etc Yes Cookies NO! NO! NO! get rid of all cookies, depends if you have a cd burner I take it you have

do a systems search for files and folders (favorites) copy that folder to the cd, copy all the other folders and files to the cd also and then burn the cd

Use xp system tool: backup, or burn what you want on CD(s).
