I was working on my computer and went to delete something from the desktop. I accidentally clicked on the recycle bin and proceeded to delete it. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could bring it back.

I used up all my anytime dial-up minutes. So I switched to pay as you go until my broadband is up and running in a week or so.

Trouble is, for the last two days when I log in it doesn't say I'm connected to pay as you go anymore.

Do you think it's reset my anytime minutes, or am I gonna get a mighty large phone bill?

eek!

Just when i thought i got rid of a virus seems it may hve come back again, havin problems connecting to the internet currently using a 220 modem/router. Which is not connecting me to the net, when i think ive established a connection and open up internet explorer it takes around 20 mins to display the web page. ( have i got problems or what?!)

Anywayz thinkin of reformattin my hard drive and startin all over again might be the only option since it seems this virus isnt going away.

Any ideas wot the problem might be, and how do i go about reformatting?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm having a difficult time with my XP. Everytime i click on a folder, a desktop shortcut or not, the desktop reloads with all the icons dissapering and appearing after a few seconds. Another problem, programs no longer work, with an error report needing to be sent on every program, such as w.movie maker and w.media player. Why is this happening??

Tom.

can anyone confirm what happens to the beta versions of vista when the testing period is over
i have heard that they become locked and unusable, which i think is a bit nasty of microsoft considering you have tested vista for them for a year
and even if they let you continue to use it,you will probally buy a full release anyway as the beta(build 5600) is apparently only 95% complete and i dont want a operating system unfinished forever
i just think it would be a goodwill gesture to let us keep it until we can get a loan to buy the full version of vista ultimate...ha,ha..
cheers

PLEASE, PLEASE , PLEASE don't tell me to go under the tools key at the top of the page. I have done all that! I have cleared history and went under the content tab and cleared forms. I know I can turn off autocomplete but I can't do that! I have done searches with the URL name but it doesn't show me where they are. When I type one letter. example - the letter a - the drop down list will give several choices along with the one I don't won't to come up. EX. http:\\www.website.com. How do I find and get rid of this. I have tried SPYBOT and IE Privacy Keeper neither worked. I HOPE someone out there has an answer. To save my butt. Thanks, Madison

What is the deal with the emails that have excerpts from a story or something. There is no sales pitch, so what is their purpose? You never get the entire story beginning to end anyway - not that I care.

I write this under a pall of fear that it will close down. I've just virus scanned it and nothing has shown up. However, odd things happen such as certain things crashing, once or twice the PC has switched off and restarted, now on my latest session, programs just close down, without even a standard Microsoft 'has had to shutdown' message. It seems ok at the moment. It's just under two years old. What could the problem be, and are there way to solve it, like a full restore?

Apparently my computer had to be totally re-set because it had a virus... and my parents re-set everything, so I've lost all of my favourites, all of my personal documents and pictures and truthfully they know nothing about computers, so they come up with re-starting the whole thing! =O

Is there any way I can get everything back? I've lost important documents like coursework and I was writing a novel and I've lost it! I'm so pissed off. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
