I was working on my computer and went to delete something from the desktop. I accidentally clicked on the recycle bin and proceeded to delete it. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could bring it back.

You can restore your computer to the way it was a day or two ago by restoring the registry (all windows settings) to an earlier save point.

Click the start button and select Help and Support, then click the Undo changes to your computer with System Restore link on the right of the page. Select a restore point before the recycle bin disappeared, such as yesterday. Any registry info on software installed since the restore point is lost, so you shouldn't do it if you installed/removed any programs today.

Also see this link to an article with 2 methods. Try Method 1 before my method. Method 2 is risky unless you're an experienced techie.

Simple.. right click on desktop... go to display properties ... At desktop tab... click customized desktop... click restore defaults...
If does not work.. mail me 4 the registry hack.
U can also try a nifty tool TweakUI from Microsoft/powertoys..
It is a cool tool 2 tune ur windows.
