Yes. Your router most likely is assigning the IP address to each machine. You just need to make sure the router is set for DHCP and the PC are set to receive DHCP for the router.

if you are running mac OS 10.4.x and some recent version of windows, yes should be no problem.
expect the MAC to be more agreeable than the PC
