i have followed the instal program and when the software checks for all settings it says it cant find a internet connection. i have time warner roadrunner cable modem with the digital phone connected to it i know the connection is good as it reads 100 mbs and showes connected. have done the retry several time and still no connection.

My PC is kind of out of date. I bought it nearly 2 years ago. It's not a brand, it's custom made and bought from a market. I'ts especially designed for gaming more than anything else. It has been a wonderful computer. It's got AMD Athlon 64 processor 2800+ 1.81 GHz, 512mb RAM, 115 GB memory and Geforce graphics card (Direct X 9.0c). I need to know what needs changing and where i can get it upgraded (In the UK). My computer is getting slower and has some trouble playing some of the latest games like CivCity Rome e.t.c. I want the best performance out of it. Thanks for your help.

Whenever I'm on this computer browsing the internet or whatever, my computer decides to reboot itself, bringing it back to the sign-in screen. This is a TOTAL annoyance and happens every 5 minutes or so! What can I do to stop it? (I have Windows XP.)

I told my teacher I would do it at home and save it to a memory stick however I have just realised I don't have microsoft powerpoint on my laptop. She is expecting me to present it to the class. I'm not good with computers. How I got 599 photos in My Documents I'll never know. As soon as I click on my documents there they are all 599. Trouble is when inserting each and every photo into folder, folder jumps to very top. This is very time consuming. Not how I want to spend a Sunday afternon. Any suggestions?

Is there anyway to maybe bypass this password so I can go online, I was thinking of downloading the firefox installation program and copying it to a cd and try loading it at my work computer, we use internet explorer at work, do u think this might work if I install another browser? I have coppied and pasted the background code into the 'style box' in the PERSONALIZE part of my profile lyk advised to. when files are deleted from the recycle bin i know they stay on the hard drive but were on the hard drive because i want to put a usb storage thing and make all of the files that get deleted on to that storage device. is this possible...please help

If i open 2 or 3 windows of Mozilla Firefox (or Internet Explorer) my computer slows down dramatically. At CPU usage the rate is almost always 100%. This does not happen with other programs. I tried reinstalling Mozilla, disk cleanup, installed an antivirus and scanned and deleted whatever it found wrong and also deleted all cookies and other temporary files that the explorer might store. The problem still persists. After running for about 1 min (with 2 or more windows of Mozilla) the task manager shows it to be "Not responding". Any ideas?

I have media center 2002 and want to run microsoft extender... but I cant install the software. I had it working before I formatted my hard drive and now it wont work. Is there a patch or crack available?
