I heard you can use the imac G5 to watch tv ..has the proper hook ups .. like usung the moniter for the tv screen ..

They've been doing maintainence for months. It's really quite annoying seeing as I have many files on there. They have to be totally overhauling the site for it to be down this long. If anyone has any other info other than the whole maintainence deal it'd be greatly appreciated.

one day I pushed the sidebar and it was on the left side and it close sidebar now ,It was allways on right side under sidebar button can you tell me why?thank-you.

What is the main differences between these two different computers/processors? Which would you recommend? Which would be the best choice for running mutiple programs at once and the best choice for working with graphics with paint shop? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Is Someone Hacking my Computer?
I don't want yahoo messanger on my computer, so i keep trying to delete it. It won't show up in the Add/Remove programs or anywhere else. So i went through where it says explore, and it shows up there but it doesn't have an uninstall or anything its very strange. Then sometimes all by itself it just pops up and starts signing in. The id is sevendaze, and its really creepy, on the messanger, they have nothing but women with all the same name. Brittany, the same as my name, i don't know what to think about this help!

There is a strange file, a text file, it has nothiing but computer talk in it. the name is "df372de1fbe26....." keeps going on and the contents are basically the all the commands that have been executed on the computer it seems. Is this normal? This was in the C drive.

I have Windows Professional 2000 and I keep getting an error message whenever I try to access the Internet through Internet Explorer. The message says, "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application." Every time I get on the Internet, it pops up and I get the "This page cannot be displayed" page- no matter what website that I go to. I know that it is not a matter of my internet connection, because my Outlook Express is still working fine and I can send and recieve mail, but both my Internet and my Instant Messaging programs are not working. Please help me! I need internet access without having to use a friend's computer! Thank you!

I'll add files to the program and usually they start to convert and such into readable formats, but on the last few, it will not even start and an X will appear where it usually turns to a green dot when it's done...why won't it worK? If anyone has any suggestions/hints that'd be great! (and, if I uninstall and reinstall, will i lose all the files that it transcoded already?)

I was playing World of Warcraft then my screen went black, an error popped up.. said something about VPU recovery needs to restart my computer because something wasnt responding to my graphics driver. I think I just need update my graphics driver but.. I could be wrong.

So... how do I find out what type of graphics driver I have?

I have basic computer skills but was told by an aquaintance to take an online microsoft certification class. He said it wasn't to difficult-- like computer theory-- it was basically following steps, something even I can do. He also mentioned that these jobs start you off in the 40,000 to 50,000 range. Anyone know anything about these classes and which ones provide the best job opportunities? Thanks!

Ok this is what happens, it's kinda hard to explain. I have a laptop and that may be the problem..... but what happens is as i am typing a letter or really anything that's long, i will be in the middle of a sentence then the curser will move to a differnt part in the paragraph and before i know it, i have started typing in some random spot in the paragraph, so when i am right in the middle of typing, the curser will move up to a word that starts with the same letter as the word i was typing when my curser jumped. This makes it really hard to write e-mails and just letters in general. Hope someone knows that I am talking about. Thanks !

I have been told that one reason my computer seems to run out of RAM memory fairly quickly is that I have too many processes running at once. The computer has 500 MB RAM and I am running Windows XP. When I boot the computer there are already between 60-65 processes running. What I don't understand is the following:

1-How can I tell which processes can be safely turned off?
2-How can I keep unnecessary processes from returning the next time I boot the computer (i.e., how do I turn them off permanently)?

how do I prevent xp from displaying email alerts when on the logon page.
