how do i recover files from a system restore?

I recently did a partial system restore, all my files are gone. I didnt properly back them up, i know that the data is still in another sector. I used a program called sector spy, its definately still there..how do i recover it?

Doesn't sector spy recover files??? If it reads the files it should be able to recover them I would think. I know Norton Utilities has an unerase wizard, but I don't know if it will work. My best advice is trial and error. Just start with 1 file unerase program and keep working until you know none will work or until you find the right one.
