OK. so you've decided to give share filling a shot huh? ed2k is, in my opinion the worst of all the p2p share software's. If your looking for faster downloads, more sources, and multiple network searches. Shareaza is the best. It's free, and it also downloads from ed2k, gnutella, gnutella2, and emule,as well as download bit torrents. all for free. go to shareaza.com to download the free software.

The difference between bit torrents, and p2p, is that bit torrents(BT) can download multiple files in one download, where p2p, cannot. So, if your looking for full music albums, you would have to download each song individually with p2p. where as a BT download could not only have all the tracks, but usually a picture of the CD case. Sometimes with BT you can download an artists discography, which is every song ever made by that artist. That would be a nightmare with p2p.

All you need to do is get shareaza......go to a BT search site..(mininova, isohunt, btjunkie, pirate bay, demonoid). and select the files you want, and shareaza takes care of the rest.

Also shareaza has a search tab. search for whatever files you want on the p2p networks. click on the one you want, and it begins to transfer.

So, hopefully you've decided not to go with ed2k. You will hate the long waits. Also another good p2p client is limewire. multi networked, and somewhat easy to use. so....goodluck..and enjoy!!

No such thing as EDK2. Perhaps you got it confused with ed2k, which is short for eDonkey2000, a filesharing protocol on par of Gnutella platform (which is used by many other programs).

I personally used to use Shareaza, (www.shareaza.com) which is edonkey, Gnutella, Gnutella2, AND BitTorrent compatible.
