Is Someone Hacking my Computer?
I don't want yahoo messanger on my computer, so i keep trying to delete it. It won't show up in the Add/Remove programs or anywhere else. So i went through where it says explore, and it shows up there but it doesn't have an uninstall or anything its very strange. Then sometimes all by itself it just pops up and starts signing in. The id is sevendaze, and its really creepy, on the messanger, they have nothing but women with all the same name. Brittany, the same as my name, i don't know what to think about this help!

When i finally got it deleted it reinstalled itself. I found their profile pic and everything on my computer. I can't be mine, and nobody else uses my computer, its my laptop so i would know. When it reinstalled itself, it showed up on the add/remove programs finally. So i uninstalled again. Only to find out msn messanger had been installed with the same screen name.

Its sounds like something extremely strange things are going on and you need to take quick action to fix things on your computer. First of disconnect your computer from the internet... in your situation I would just go to your modem and unplug it. Somehow someone has remote access to your computer and you need to cut that off now.

Next, if you start up your computer and you do not have to log in with a user id and password you need to stop doing that, if you do log in with a secure id and password change your password. Go to your control panel and click on the user accounts section. Make sure the guest account is turned off and also make sure you log on setting require you to enter a password. If you see a user account that you do not recognize be prepared to delete it.

Also you should also consider making your wireless connection secure using the strongest encryption method available to you.

If you are unable to stop this activity consider a complete reformat and reinstallation because none of your personal info, passwords, bank info is safe under the circumstances you are working under.

Running antivirus and adware/spyware every week isn't enough. You need to reinstall them every time to ensure they are not hacked. After re-install, immediately do an update. As soon as the update is complete, disconnect the internet and do a full computer scan, twice. The first one is to heal, if not move to virus vault, any suspicious file found. The second time, which should be OK, is to make sure anything healed are healed, if it is still there, move to virus vault without hesitation. You might need registry fixer to ensure there are nothing left of the virus to allow it to be download again after you connected to Internet. And do disk cleanup and windows update if possible.

Don't you have a firewall or firewall software? Firewalls help keep others off your PC. Windows XP comes with one, which I highly reccommend.
