I have basic computer skills but was told by an aquaintance to take an online microsoft certification class. He said it wasn't to difficult-- like computer theory-- it was basically following steps, something even I can do. He also mentioned that these jobs start you off in the 40,000 to 50,000 range. Anyone know anything about these classes and which ones provide the best job opportunities? Thanks!

Yes those courses are OK but there's something better (if you can get it) and that's a security clearance.

The ability to work with sensitive data (bank records etc.) is something so many people forget about when looking at a computer career. Having a clearance can be a major selling point when it comes to the jobe interview.
