how do i log out of my macbook?

Question

when im gonna go off my mac how do i log of ...because i have multiple users and when i change and then turn my mac off it asks me to write who owns the mac because some users are still logged on and they might want to log out before!

Shift - Command - Q will log you out.

Also, from the Menu bar, you can click on the Apple. It's the bottom entry on that menu.
