Yes, I have, and I do not believe it is easy to do the long form. Even though I am about to graduate from college as an accountant, I found it very difficult to know how to answer some of their questions. I filled it out the best I could, then I took everything to my accountant and found I had answered several things wrong, and she ended up getting me $1000 more than I would have if I filed it myself.

You can have the best intentions and even be a pretty smart cookie when it comes to Tax, but Turbo Tax cannot present every situation and how it would affect everyone, and it is easy to answer incorrectly when you are really trying to do it the right way. My advice is to get a good accountant. It is usually less than $200, and it is so worth it to know you won't have any penalties or interest coming back your way for an incorrect answer, and a lot of time you end up with more money.

I have to agree with Bosco. I think filing with TurboTax is more expensive and with the direct Irs it's less than 10 bucks. I've used the direct irs for three years and no problems.

Hi Jack,

We have been submitting long form using turbo tax since buying our house (about 10 yrs). The first year, we used it, then went to H&R Block (just to be safe) and they came up with the exact same thing. It's easy and accurate. I'd recommend it to anyone that has to use long form.

I 've use it several times and have never had a problem so long as you have all your documents in order and you can follow a simple Q&A formate you should be fine 99% of it is having all your information availuable correctly inputing it and it has systems installed to help you in case which will go through any part or all of it to asure you that there are no errors .. good luck and enjoy .
