My computer is corrupted, i need a windows xp disk to start over from reinstallation. The only recovery disk i have is in my back-up disk which contains some documents and windows xp. When i run it up in my computer, it says backup, but i don't want to back it up. I want to use the windows xp to help start the reinstallation, see when i backed it up it made my hard drive disk full. How do i extract it and use it?

I've been trying to set up a usmc.mil account with Outlook and can't find what servers I need to use for the POP3 (or whatever) or SMTP servers during set up.

I have compaq presario laptop and use a motorola surfboard cable broadband modem and sometimes I lose internet connection and have to re-boot. Also when this happens laptop sometimes wont shut down. I recently formatted and reinstalled windows and all the compaq drivers. Is it a problem with the pc or modem or the cable company. It tends to happen when I am downloading large files using P2P or bittorrents.

videos on flashplayer sometimes won't play sound (like nothing on youtube will play sound, as well as other places). someone suggested that i might be misisng an audio codec. how do i find which one i'm missing and how do i get it back?

any help would be really appreciated. thanks!

oh and my speakers are working fine otherwise.

I'm not a computer literate person, so please help me out in a way a 13 year girl can understand.

My computer is and dumber than I am! It freezes all the time, it's always delayingslowing my typing, and programs are taking longer to load. What's the problem? The programs often "Stop Responding" and I often get a pop-up saying, the "Virtual Memory is too low". I've tried what I can; deleting programs I don't use, scanning it with virus protecters and spyware protecters, but nothing has worked. Puh-lease help! Thanks!!

hi posted a question here earlier about not being able to play dvds anymore and yet it used to, ok with cds, was sent a file to download power dvd but am in a bit of a mess with it all as only a novice at all this, think the file downloaded but when i go to my documents cant see it , and yet 11 small boxes showed up when it had downloaded, know this probably dosent make sense to most of you as hard to explain what i mean, so know im asking too much really for help but stuck as to what to do.
