It's running constantly, so yes, it will consume some of your system resources. All Antivirus programs do. However, AVG is pretty lightweight, so unless you are actively scanning, you shouldn't even notice the difference.

Norton A/V on the other hand, is a total memory hog. You definitely notice the slowdown with that.

sure, alot of persons say AVG is sweet inspite of the undeniable fact that to be honest I had the equivalent venture. I additionally had a Trojan that it may desire to now no longer be conscious and ended up procuring Norton internet protection and have had no problems or any infections in view that and my laptop runs wonderful. So if which you will possibly have the flexibility to locate the money for it, purchase Norton. once you cant have the capacity to pay for it then attempt Avast as i'm confident this is many times loose and it will do the activity different than you could nicely have the capacity to pay for to purchase Norton. additionally Norton is plenty extra value-effective from areas like Amazon than the Norton internet site. staggering good fortune

I have used AVG religiously for years, and the only time I notice a change in performance is when it is running its daily scan. I try to schedule it to run when I'm not home, but if I am and it starts I simply pause the scan until I'm done using the computer.

I have AVG and I think it runs just fine. It's a little slow on scanning but I think that's because I have a lot of files.

not at all, i love AVG. if your computeris slow it probably has a virus of some kind that hasn't been detected yet.

Make sure you are not running it at the same time or with another antivirus program. if you are they may be conflicting with each other.
