i wanna save some stuff on my floppys but everytime i try it says it's white-protacted (sorry about the spelling) i've tried moving the little tab both ways but still says the same. i have formatted floppys that work for my p.c ( i have windows me) but i don't know what i need to do so i can save items. can anyone please help?

Hello I was wondering if anyone knows of a good laptop bag ? I have a widescreen HP ZD8000. It's 17". I really prefer a backpack type. Thanks for reading and for your suggestions. I really like samsonite bags but I can't seem to find one big enough. I couldn't even find one at HP, Circuit City, Best Buy or Staples.

Everytime I try to access task manager on my computer, I get a message saying that "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator. " I was just wondering how I go about making task manger available again. I have Windows XP home edition, and I have a hewlit packard computer. Someone please help me? Commodore 64 Monitor: The power switch will not keep the monitor on. Pushing the power button turns the monitor on, then as soon as it is released, it shuts off, how do I fix it?

I will greatly appreciate any cost effective ideas, so that I can access and convert some old Amiga files to my new PC.

i have a disc with my ex-rays on it given to me by my hospital. why can't i view it on my computer. it starts to run and then a window pops up telling me "windows cannot run this disc" am i in need of special softwear? this disc was made for me thru the V/A.

there is a CD that when i try to open it it says ( Active X component can`t create object)
what does this message mean, and the CD doesn`t have anything wrong because it works on any other computer and it also used to work normally on mine before i reinstall windows XP one week ago

i forgot to turn off the system restore on drive e: while restoring windows xp which is on c: (, and there's another one on d: as well )..but now the system restore can't undo the change neither can it restore to any other point ,may be coz i used shut down during restore as it was taking a lot of time and thus the restore was not complete(wonder if it would have ever been) a few recent files on the e: were lost ,now is there a way to recover them ,or the only way is to use data recovery softwares

I am making a dvd collection box and wanna put a picture on it on the outside so when the dvds are put together the picture looks full and when ever i seperate the dvds, the picture gets cut in half, i hope you guys understand what i am saying, so the question is how do i cut that picture on my computer in 6 different pieces evenly?
i usually use bitmap or paint but i could try something different as long as i can cut it in 6 pieces evenly

I cannot get my desktop picture to come up on my desktop i believe i had a spy or a virus that took over my desktop imaging i ran my spyware and virus protection programs and they got the spies and viruses out but my picture is still not coming up on my desktop . does anyone know what has happened to it or how to get it back ? everything else still is working like all of my icons etc . PLEASE HELP ME ?

I've already run virus scans, spyware scans, regestry cleaners, cleared msconfig and then some. I have mcaffe , ad-adware, some regestry cleaner, and cyberhalk. I also have defragmented and maxed out on virtual memory.I have also cleared any cookies or temp files. Basicly I've done everything that I could think of short of reformating.

someone has wi-fi in my apartment complex. its called 2wire157 is there anyway to maybe connect into it or what? Is it a crime to hack it or what? Also like t-mobile at starbucks is it able to be used without paying for it?
