I am making a dvd collection box and wanna put a picture on it on the outside so when the dvds are put together the picture looks full and when ever i seperate the dvds, the picture gets cut in half, i hope you guys understand what i am saying, so the question is how do i cut that picture on my computer in 6 different pieces evenly?
i usually use bitmap or paint but i could try something different as long as i can cut it in 6 pieces evenly

Assuming you're doing this VB or Java, you can use a table and turn the cells on/off as percentage of occupancy dictates.

I suppose the brute force method is too obvious? Print it out on one sheet of paper, then use scissors to cut the into strips?

Remember to allow for the fact that there's small gaps between the labels...

You could try it in Word. Right click on the and choose format autoshape. From there you can do almost anything you want to the photo - along with choosing exactly what size you want the photo.
