I've already run virus scans, spyware scans, regestry cleaners, cleared msconfig and then some. I have mcaffe , ad-adware, some regestry cleaner, and cyberhalk. I also have defragmented and maxed out on virtual memory.I have also cleared any cookies or temp files. Basicly I've done everything that I could think of short of reformating.

Computer Slow

Download and then run startup.exe (FREEWARE) at:

http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.

Other things to try:

1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)

ALL ELSE FAILS - RELOAD YOUR O/S (WINDOWS) AND THEN REINSTALL ALL OTHER PROGRAMS YOU NEED/USE!

Slowly unplug it from the wall socket, set it in the corner, then fork out 2K for a Core Duo whatsit.

Have you checked out what programs are being loaded at Startup?

More RAM. that is the biggest secret. Next would to be to look at the software running, and what is slowing down the computer.

Hello!
Your computer may have out-of-date components or just components that don't high enough performance for what you're doing. You can always install more RAM (Random Access Memory). I hope this helps!
